We give thanks to thee O Lord, for Mother Maria Clara,
Who lit in our hearts, a flame so bright that even today is burning.
1 A life that reached and touched the lives
Of those around her perishing
A life that showed that God is love
Through Hospitality.
2. we thank thee Lord that she cared so much
And made a difference by ministering
Making this like heaven above,
Bringing light, the shadows dispelling.
3. Help us keep the flame shining bright,
Bring hope to a world that’s dying,
Help us to love, make burdens light
And chase away all sighing.
